In this presentation, we will define rigor and authentic writing, showing participants how to give students opportunities that move beyond the basic writing format. We will focus on writing goals that demonstrate how to think critically, creatively and credibly.  In addition, I will demonstrate writing scaffolding tools meant to engage all writers in a culturally responsive way.  Let’s take the “mystery” out of writing and empower all students toward writing success.
